The SELECT program is run by the Bethlehem Soccer Club’s Youth Academy.

Each age group (from U12s on up) will have the opportunity to have a Select team with players that want a more rigorous training and tournament schedule. With that being said, a Select team will only be formed if the talent pool warrants it. If a Select team is not formed, we will continue with a First and Second Academy team. At the U12 level, we will hold a Select team tryout, but again, if the talent pool does not warrant a Select team those players will continue with the Junior Academy. It is important to note that all players will still receive top rate training no matter what their current ability level is.

SELECT Team registration for 2012-13 will open August 15, and registration fees will be $1,900 - which includes uniform, multiple indoor and/or outdoor competitive tournaments, 2 winter indoor training sessions per week, and 3 outdoor sessions per week in the spring. Also included is 1 indoor winter competitive session, and CDYSL (or other) spring competitive league fees.

The Youth Academy is pleased to announce that Jeremy Bogan (jeremy.bogan@gmail.com) is our new Girls Youth Academy/Select Program Director, and Phil Ridgeway (philridgway2001@yahoo.com) is the Boys Youth Academy/Select Program Director. Both Jeremy and Phil have worked closely with the Youth Academy Committee over the winter and spring months to put together quality programming for players of various ability levels.

The Youth Academy is structured to provide your son or daughter the best opportunity to develop as soccer players in the best possible positive learning environment. The cost of the Academy remains the best value in the entire Capital Region when one considers the quality of technical and tactical training given.

Those players not wishing or able to pursue SELECT team placement may still compete for a First team slot in any Youth Academy age group by attending one of the competitive tryouts listed at top of this page. Players not able to make a tryout must consult with your current coach and ask them to provide an assessment of your ability to play at each level. That assessment should reach Coach Bogan or Coach Ridgway no later than July 12th.

Youth Academy registration for 2012-13 will open August 15, and registration fees will be $1,250 - which includes uniform, participation on the BSC tournament, winter training conducted by professional coaches (1 day per week), 1 indoor winter competitive session, and CDYSL (or other) spring competitive league fees. Spring outdoor training will include 2 weekly training sessions.
